Arkive – Old MacDonald’s Farm (1989)

In this marketing material from 1989, we see the park’s former petting zoo known as Old MacDonald’s Farm. Petting zoos were common in amusement parks for many decades, it was one of the park’s few attractions to feature animals over the years.

In November 1989, Bess, an 18-month-old Vietnamese pot bellied pig gave birth to nine piglets after mating with her partner Porgy. Also on the farm were Shetland Ponies and lop-eared rabbits amongst other animals.

The site later became home to the Chinese Puzzle Maze.
