Arkive – A Falling Star (2018)

With planning of the Boulevard hotel in the advanced stages, work began to demolish The Star pub in early 2018.

Dating from the 1930s, the pub was known as a live music venue. It was owned by Bass Brewery until 1994 when it was sold to the Pleasure Beach company.

Shortly after demolition was completed, the Boulevard hotel began to rise on the site.
