Arkive – The birth of the Boulevard (2018)

With demolition of the former Star building complete, work to convert the site into the new Boulevard hotel got underway. Planning approval for the development was granted in April 2018, with construction starting two months later in June.

In these photos from our collection, taken in August 2018, we see work on the site progressing with much of the steel work for the ground floor taking shape.
