Mirror mazes have an intriguing history that dates back to the late 19th century. Originating in the era of Victorian amusements, the first known mirror maze was introduced at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. 1001 Troubles debuted at at the park in 1927 and featured a disorienting mirror maze as well as some traditional ‘funny’ fairground mirrors.

The attraction was relocated for the 2002 season and merged with the Haunted Swing to become Impossible.

❓Did You Know❓

In 2002, the park combined 1001 Troubles and Haunted Swing to create Impossible. The following year, a similar ride was created at Pleasureland, combining that park's mirror maze and swing to create Abdullah's Dilemma.
