As the park’s ice shows celebrate 70 years, a new exhibition will look back Reflections – Art on Ice features a colourful array of costume designs, programmes, posters, costumes, props and photographs from all 70 shows, as well as a selection of modern art inspired by the show and memorabilia from some famous names associated with Hot Ice.

Visitors will see costume designs from renowned art-deco designer McKnight-Kauffer, famous for his London Transport poster designs. Also featured are posters by Tom Purvis, creator of ‘Ice Drome Jack’ who later went on to become Pleasure Beach mascot Mr Funshine, and designs from Percy Metcalf, who worked closely with Pleasure Beach architect Joseph Emberton.

Reflections – Art on Ice runs in the Gallery, upstairs at the Globe from Wednesday 5th April – Sunday 30th April 2006 during park operating hours. Entrance is free.
