Big hearted holidaymakers helped comedian Les Dawson coin it in for Victoria Hospital's scanner appeal.
Pleasure Beach staff made their annual dredge of the Tom Sawyer raft ride and loose change thrown into the water by visitors totalled £1,053. Traditionally, the amusement park hands the tossed tally over to charity and this year the hospital scanner fund was chosen.
