To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Grand National, BBC Breakfast broadcast live from the ride on 27 June 2025.
Uploaded to the channel of Coincidence or not?, the video sees presenter Jayne McCubbin meet Andy Hygate, Director of Operations, before taking a ride on a beautiful Blackpool morning.
Perhaps the best thing about the segment is that it features some great chat about the ride, roller coasters more generally and it comes without all the hysterics that are often found in such footage. Plus, they were able to broadcast live from the ride, with multiple onboard camera angles.
Great job BBC … and all that before 7am !
