11/09/2004 – Heat officially open Space Invader 2

The park’s own pop group Heat, who have been performing in The Star pub have today officially opened the relaunched Space Invader 2 ride.

Originally opened in 1984, the ride has received significant mechanical upgrades from Dutch firm Kumbak Coasters, with all new vehicles.

Kumbak are also working on the rebuilding of the Grand National after the fire earlier this year.
