Starship Enterprise was a thrilling flat ride located at the northern end of the park. Enterprise rides were a popular sight at the time, with units produced by Schwarzkopf, Meisho and Huss Rides. It was the latter who built the Pleasure Beach ride.
When the main body of the ride reached full speed whilst horizontal, a hydraulic ram then lifts the unit to 90 degrees, providing riders with a high speed 360-degree looping sensation.
Other Enterprise rides have operated at Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Thorpe Park and Alton Towers.
