The Helter-Skelter Lighthouse represents one of the earliest examples of a spiral slide, or ‘Lighthouse Slip’. Arriving in 1905, it can be seen in countless postcards from the period, perhaps second only to the Flying Machine.

Some sources claim that after the closure of the ride, the roof structure was removed and used in the construction of a house on the Norfolk Broads, however similar claims exist for a number of such attractions at different parks, therefore the accuracy of the claim is disputed.
