The world famous Log Flume closed for the final time today, bringing nearly 40 years of thrills and spills to an end. Fans have taken their final rides over the weekend and twenty four superfans have secured the ‘logs’ for £25 each.
The ride was the first of its kind to be built outside America when it opened in 1967, with 2,322 feet of track, it was the longest flume ride in the world.
A new ride is expected on the site for the 2007 season.
