The launch of Mystique in 1988 saw a raft of publicity across the town. This included a tram advert, promoting both the new show and the new Avalanche ride (more on that another day).

That year’s production got underway in the Casino’s Horseshoe bar on 9 July, replacing the popular Viva Shows. It starred Russ Stevens and was produced by Gloria Gee.

Brush Railcoach 630 was the unit featuring the advert, which was updated the subsequent year for Mystique 1989. The unit would later have a Karting 2000 livery.

The unit now operates in traditional Green & Cream at the National Tramway Museum in Crich.
