The Eli Wheels (they also are known by various other names on maps and postcards) were two independent rides, set side by side close to the promenade at the north end of the site near the Grand National.

The wheels provided an aerial view of the park and created a hypnotic kaleidoscope effect when both were operating together. Mid way through their existence, a large clown was added to the northern side of the wheels who appeared to turn the huge structures of the attraction.

Built by the Eli Bridge Company, the wheels were introduced in 1936 and 1938 and operated until 1984.
