06/09/1995 – Simply Red shoot music video on Big One

Tonight, the Manchester soul and pop band Simply Red secured exclusive access to the Pleasure Beach to shoot a music video for an upcoming single with Irish filmmaker Michael Geoghegan. The band arrived at 9pm and filming continued into the early hours.

The song, rumoured to be called ‘Fairground’ is expected to be released later this month, accompanied by a music video with scenes filmed across the resort. The Pepsi Max Big One ride is expected to feature prominently.
