The park’s trio of gardeners scooped the Best Large Visitor Attraction trophy in the annual North West In Bloom Awards for the fifth year running. The team is headed by Ian Howlett, along with Gary Barclay and Wendy Priest.
The team impressed a panel of judges once again earlier this year with the maintenance and condition of planting, originality of plants used, general cleanliness and for fully illustrating the impact of North West In Bloom by using tubs, containers, hanging baskets and window boxes wherever appropriate.
Ian and his team were presented with their award by the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester, Sir David Wilmot QPM DL at a ceremony at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium.
