With the closure of the Gold Mine, the park embarked on a radical transformation of the ride system to create a new dark ride, centred around local favourites Wallace and Gromit.

Geoffrey Thompson OBE had long wanted to build a dark ride featuring the Aardman characters, the next generation of the Thompson family made that dream a reality, with the ride opening for the 2013 season.

The ride features iconic scenes and familiar characters from the TV and film escapades, including large set pieces, a stand out scene being the rocket launch sequence from A Grand Day Out.
