MORECAMBE VISITOR

WEDNESDAY JUNE 4, 1952

As C. B. Cochran became King of the Revue, so Leonard Thompson, proprietor of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the Morecambe Pleasure Park, is fast becoming the King of Ice Shows, judging by the clever, spectacular Ice Parade 'Literary Frolics', produced by Bettina Merson, at the Blackpool Ice Drome, the first performance of the season being witnessed by a packed audience on Saturday.
A cast of nearly 100 include some of the world's best skaters, and the show is very appropriately described as "A symphony of beauty in colour, speed and sound." Mr. Thompson and Miss Merson will start a similar production at the Morecambe Ice Theatre commencing on June 21.
