Perhaps the crown jewel in the park’s collection of classic dark rides, the Ghost Train takes guests on a journey through a compendium of the spooky and the macabre.

Originally built in 1930, the ride has seen significant modifications and expansions overseen by Joseph Emberton and more latterly by Jack Ratcliff.

❓Did You Know❓

The Ghost Train appears in Tim Burton's 2016 film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

The name ‘Ghost Train’ is now synonymous with this type of ride, however, it is said that the Pleasure Beach Ghost Train was the first to bear this name, inspired by the Arnold Ridley play of the same name.

Although the spooks of the Ghost Train are built and maintained by the park’s Pleasure Beach Studios, it is said by some that a ‘real’ ghost also makes the attraction his home.
