01/11/1905 – Fire at River Caves

This year’s great attraction at South Shore, the dark ‘River Caves’ was hit by fire earlier this morning. Smoke was seen rising from the attraction shortly after seven o’clock.

Only minor damage was reported and the Blackpool fire brigade had the blaze quickly under control. The cause could not be immediately determined.
