The Blackpool Pleasure Beach, South Shore is visited by nearly every visitor to Blackpool. No holiday programme is complete without a visit to this happy playground of pleasure.

Here the holidaymaker can never spend a dull or uninteresting moment, as the Pleasure Beach is packed with inexhaustible features of interest. Every conceivable type of amusement is provided and the price of admission to any of them is most reasonable, and within reach of all.

From entering the grounds to coming away, the visitor can find fresh amusement every moment. One may enjoy the ever fascinating Water Chute, the Scenic Railway, with its wonderful fairy grotto; the famous Velvet Coaster, full of thrills and surprises, the exhilarating Bowl Slide, the mysterious and romantic River Caves, the mirth-provoking and laughable House of Nonsense, where the visitor involuntarily finds himself performing amusing gymnastic revolutions; and the popular Joy Wheel.

To vary the enjoyment, or when the visitors are tired after their explorations of the Pleasure Beach, they may resort to a spacious building in which may be seen enacted with remarkable realism the great naval encounter of the Monitor and the Merrimac.

Among other attractions, too numerous to mention in detail is a magnificently equipped roller skating rink. If you feel hungry or thirsty, you need not leave the Pleasure Beach, for at the Casino Restaurant substantial meals may be had at most reasonable and moderate prices, whilst refreshments may also be had at the Empire Cafe at moderate prices.

Those who take pleasure in a game of billiards may enjoy the game under ideal conditions at the Casino.
