As part of the discussion, it was revealed that prior to closure, there was significant leakage from the ride’s trough that is currently being traced and fixed, with a new boat design that will be “smaller and more comfortable” with several new scenes. The Egyptian, Angkor Wat and Blue Grotto sections will remain.
The ride, dating from 1905, is the park’s second oldest ride after the Flying Machine.
