YouTube Pick – Geoffrey Thompson on This Morning (1990)

This video from the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain channel sees Geoffrey Thompson OBE speaking to Anne Ashworth from ITV’s This Morning during the 1990 season.

In the clip, he discusses the origins of the park and how his grandfather William George Bean was inspired to create the park by the rides and attractions that he saw in New York’s Coney Island.

This clip is also notable because it is the original source for much of the quotes used in the 125th Anniversary soundtrack (see below).
