LANCASHIRE EVENING POST

FRIDAY, APRIL 12, 1935

Brussels wants to know how to organise a modern pleasure park in connection with its International Exhibition which starts a several month run at the end of this month, and so Blackpool is teaching it how the thing should be done.
Already a large space to be used as an entertainment park has been taken by Mr Leonard Thompson, managing director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach and he along a number of experts on pleasure park amusement construction have for some time been in Brussels supervising the erection of the fun features of the Exhibition.
There is too, Mr Joseph Emberton, the London architect, whose work in modernistic planning of entertainment devices is a feature of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, who is helping to design devices for the exhibition equal to many at Blackpool.
It seems therefore, that for a time Brussels will have a miniature Blackpool Pleasure Beach - but only in miniature.
