The Big One featured in Fred Dibnah’s Magnificent Monuments broadcast on BBC Two this evening. The Bolton steeplejack turned TV presenter Fred Dibnah enjoyed several laps on the ride before speaking to park manager Jim ‘JR’ Rowland about the ride and its history.
Also featured in this episode were the Globe Theatre, the Victoria and Albert Museum and Blackpool Tower.
On Fred’s second ride, his trademark flat cap went flying as the train came into the mid-course break.
