Almost certainly the jewel in the park’s architectural crown, Joseph Emberton’s Casino of 1939 sits at the northern end of the site, replacing the previous casino. Its white tower is a Pleasure Beach icon on the Blackpool skyline.

Despite its name, the building has never been used for gambling purposes, it was built as and continues to serve as an ‘entertainment palace’ with bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Over the years the building has also been home to several rides & attractions including the Gyro Tower, The Wonderful World of Entertainment and Pasaje Del Terror. It also also home to a number of company offices.

Coasters American Diner was constructed as part of the Ocean Boulevard development, its design was heavily borrowed from that of the Casino (1913)  that was replaced by the present day Casino. Coasters was heavily modified as part of the construction of Boulevard. A new restaurant within the park now bears the Coasters name.
