The Star pub has a new name as it reopened today as the ‘Apple & Parrot’. The building, which dates from 1932 was purchased by the Pleasure Beach company in 1994 and sits below the drop of the Big One.
The building is being operated by a south-west based operator who have other venues with the Apple & Parrot name. They are the self proclaimed ‘purveyors of fine ambience’.
Opening later today, at noon, the first event will be live music from locals Kurtis Reid and The Sessions.
