With the success of the Roller Coaster (now the Nickelodeon Streak) in 1933, it was decided to build a kiddie version in its shadow the following year. Running for just over 1000ft, the ride provides the perfect introduction to wooden roller coasters, in an era before rides of this scale were ubiquitous.

The Pleasure Beach company built a clone of the Blue Flyer at EsselWorld (Maharashtra, India) in 1995.

Originally known as the Little Dipper, it would later become the Zipper Dipper as Bradley Beaver slowly took over the Kiddie’s Park. With the arrival of the Space Invader ride, a tunnel was added.

As Beaver Creek gave way to Nickelodeon Land in 2011, the ride became Blue Flyer with a refurbished train and a brand new colour scheme.
