Significant storms over night have seen the Pleasure beach overwhelmed with floodwaters, particularly in the central area of the park, either side of Watson Road. The flood has also impacted the construction site of the new Ocean Boulevard complex.
The weather has affected the whole town, elsewhere in Blackpool 83-year-old man Mr Stephen Fisher was killed when a chimney stack collapsed and crashed through the roof of his bedroom.
The start of the park’s season is not expected to be impacted on 24 March.
