Name Superbowl Opened 1990 Closed 2009 Manufacturer Lusse Reimagined from Auto Skooter
Superbowl was a successor to the Auto Skooter ride, using some mechanical components from the ride’s track and structure. Opened in 1990, the ride took inspiration from the rough and tumble of American Football with cars shaped like quarterbacks.
An electronic scoreboard, sounds from the stadium and searchlights fleshed out the theme.
With the arrival of the Sculpture Gardens, the ride was retired and a new Dodgems was opened in the former Whip building.
