Name Katzenjammer Castle Opened 1908
The Katzenjammer Castle was a popular novelty that appeared in several amusement parks in the late Victorian and Edwardian era. In that period, the word Katzenjammer typically means ‘confusion’ in this context. The ‘Katzenjammer Kids’ was a popular comic strip, first appearing in 1897.
Katzenjammer Castle was an early fun house concept, often containing slides, spinning floors and moving stairways although the precise contents of the Pleasure Beach attraction are unknown.
