Avatar Airbender is the largest of the rides added with the introduction of Nickelodeon Land in 2011, providing a ‘family thrill’ experience. Utilising Zamperla’s popular Disk’O concept, the ride consists of a large half pipe, equipped with a spinning vehicle.

The park worked extensively with Zamperla when introducing new rides for Nickelodeon Land. The Italian company built Avatar Airbender, Bikini Bottom Bus Tour, Diego's Rainforest Rescue, Fairy World Taxi Spin and Wonder Pets Big Circus Bounce.

Named for the Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender, it is perched at the edge of Nickelodeon Land, near the central station of the Pleasure Beach Express.
