The Indian Theatre was heavily damaged by fire today, with thick black smoke being seen across the Fylde.  Although there are not thought to be any series injuries, the building is likely to require a full rebuilding. Firemen Wild & Murrey were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The building has been a Pleasure Beach landmark for nearly thirty years, its origins can be traced back to the Spectatorium of 1910. It narrowly escaped another fire six years ago.
