BBC television will tonight air footage of a group of Cub Scouts eating their lunch on the Revolution roller coaster. The Cubs were met on the ride’s platform by Geoffrey Thompson and Mr Funshine before taking the ride of a lunchtime.
The Cubs were taking part in “Operation Eat-Out,” a national challenge to find novel places to eat their lunch. Twenty three members of the Cub pack from Sutton in Nottinghamshire ate their lunch of cream doughnuts and fizzy orange pop on the famous ride.
After their epic 360-degree lunch, Mr Thompson presented the Cubs with ‘Revolution Rider’ certificates and free tickets for the rest of their visit.
