22/11/1995 – Geoffrey Thompson to lead IAAPA in 1996

Geoffrey Thompson is about to take the role of president of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). He is the Brit to hold the position.

Mr. Thompson said: “It is particularly pleasing that I should be given this international honour for centenary year in 1996. My grandfather was one of the first members of the IAAPA in the 1920s so I hope I can keep up the family tradition”.

The association’s annual convention kicks off in New Orleans later this week.
