At 10pm this evening, the BBC will broadcast a 20 minute special programme celebrating amusement parks on two continents.
Initially, the broadcast will come from Coney Island, Brooklyn in New York City where listeners will hear how Americans enjoy the novelties on offer. Later in the programme, the broadcast will move to Blackpool Pleasure Beach where Leonard Thompson, the managing director of the Pleasure Beach company will provide a commentary discussing the Pleasure Beach and the wider British industry.
