YouTube Pick – Lunch on the Revolution (1980)

Almost certainly one of the most famous Pleasure Beach TV appearances is when a group of Cub Scouts ate their lunch whilst riding the Revolution.

Filmed in late summer 1979 and aired in February 1980, the clip is incredibly famous and was often featured on ‘best of’ TV segments over the years.

This great video from ang’s archive shows the experience (and the aftermath!) and shows a young Geoffrey Thompson OBE meeting the group on the ride’s platform and presenting certificates afterwards.
