THE BLACKPOOL HERALD AND FYLDE ADVERTISER

FRIDAY, JULY 17, 1908

This is another interesting feature, which is the invention of Mr. John Monk, of Blackpool. There are four comfortable and artistically decorated cars, each capable of accommodating six persons and poised on the end of steel arms 18 feet long. Two of these arms are actuated from one base and two from another, and they revolve in opposite directions in such a way that the cars seem to be intertwining and appear to be about to collide with one another. A collision, of course, is impossible. It is a distinctly novel sensation.
