Go Kart attractions have a long history at amusement parks, there have been two traditional Go Kart offerings at the Pleasure Beach, this entry represents the Challenger Go Karts that operated beneath the Big Dipper turnaround, opening in 1996.

The ride represented the investment for the park’s centenary and operated until their removal in 2016 to make way for Icon that largely follows the track layout of the ride.
